Turning Point
This picture is from Hawaii when the ocean was only a stone’s throw away and the view took my breath away. Today I’m feeling just as overwhelmed with gratitude.
I’m sitting in my white chair looking out at the leaves blowing in the wind and reflecting on yesterday. It was a beautiful day. Our church met in-person for the first time in almost two months. I was wowed by the turnout of people who were hungry to worship together. There was a real sense of hope and gratefulness to God for how incredibly faithful and good He is. As worship started you could feel the hearts of people lifting up their voice to our God with one heart and one sound. His presence filled the room. Angels accompanied our singing to our Lord and Savior! We are at a turning point. We moved away from any fear, anxiety, hopelessness and despair, to a knowing that God was calling us higher. Even for those who weren’t able to join us, I know that you either felt or will experience the same thing.
I read these passages this morning out of The Passion Translation. I encourage you to read them also and meditate on His goodness.
“Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!”
Psalms 37:3-5
We must continue to advance, keeping our eyes fixed on Him and His promises. He will continue to mold and develop us into the beautiful bride He promised to come back for. The church is shifting into her true identity. We are to rule and reign in His righteousness; to speak forth His word over our current and future situations. God has brought back an awe and wonder of Him. We are lifting Him high! He has drawn us back to His heart. We will now experience great hope and expectation for the future of His Kingdom being established.
People are realizing the reality of mortality on a higher level than ever before. We aren’t able to control everything around us in our own strength using our natural abilities. He’s brought us to a place of desperation for Him and hearing what He is speaking for us to do. The church is entering into its finest hour. This doesn’t mean everything will get easy, but it does mean that we will have opportunity to trust in God and His Word. He is faithful. As Bill Johnson has so perfectly put it, we owe the world an encounter with Jesus. Arise beautiful bride. Let God’s light shine in and through you.
You are loved!!
